With football season fast approaching, I would like to just comment on the annual game in London, England. IT IS A WASTE OF TIME. The novelty of it ran out after the first game. There has been so many problems with the game as well. The field is always in terrible shape, would hate to see a player get hurt on a field that is for soccer or cricket (ugh). Last year the BBC didn't even get the game on the air when the game started. That is so pathetic. If there is one thing you want to make sure of it is that. The weather is pretty poor at best because that is England's rainy season (which is 360 out of 365 I believe). This game also screw a team out of a home game...that alone is a big deal to one of the 2 teams participating. So please NFL, give up the London game. I understand turning your product global, but end it. Do what you did to NFL Europe....END IT.

I have to agree, but why shit on cricket? It's a cool sport to watch! Plus, India loves it! Do you really want them on your ass? Thanks for address the NFL directly. I'm sure they will read this every important post... To be serious: YOU ARE SO RIGHT. It is the worst idea the NFL has ever had. It is not a "home game" no matter how many times they say it is. If England wants in on the football action, then talk the league into getting their own team. I can maybe justify having games over there if they have team to play there. This over-seas team would cause major travel stress and costs for current teams and the British team.
P.S. Possible name for the new team: Great Britain Red Coats

I agree as well. I think that the NFL needs to focus on making the games that are played here better instead of taking them to England where the teams are under unreasonable amounts of stress just to put on a game that many may not be interested in. It's the National Football League, not the International Football League. Stay here and worry about stopping the strike that you may have to deal with in the next year because I swear if I don't have my football next year, I may have to hurt someone. And Madden 2012 will be nowhere near as popular if it is just a strike simulator and all you do is picket your character back and forth in front of the stadium. Unless of course I get to hit people with picket sticks, then we are talking about an all new genre of video games.

If it's the National Football League why are the Super Bowl winners called the World Champions? or is this just baseball...

There is waaay too much wrong with the NFL to discuss here...But since you brought it up...There are too many preseason games, too many teams clustered in one area, (i.e. Cali and NY) Who thought a bunch of WASPs would want to watch anyway? Uh yeah, I think it does rain non-stop over there...injuries...hello? Aren't 'roid people susceptible to injuries anyway? (just spitballing here) Do our cousins across the Pond understand the need for all the commercial breaks? I'm thinking that they don't, they"ll change the channel, and all will be for naught. (again, just spitballing here) BTW, the Red Coats? Isn't that derogitory? like say, Indians, Reds? Didn't some college team have to stop doing that pow-wow thing a few years ago? How about the Tea Drinkers? That right there's funny...I don't care who 'yar!

...the NFL...what a bunch of fucking DB's!!! All of them. Owners. Players. Commissioners. There are billions of dollars being floated around the league and yet each side wants more. The owners have the nerve to demand more because, well, they own the teams. The NFL wants to keep it for themselves because, well, it's their league, their rules, their GD ball. The players want more because, well, they are the ones doing all the work. Did I just say work? I meant they are the ones playing the game. BAM!!!! I just said it! They play a fucking game! Sure, sometimes someone gets hurt. But they know this going into it. Too damn bad. Maybe they should be more conservative with the cash, knowing that longevity is as rare as stardom. And all this during a national financial crisis like no other in recent memory for most people. Shame on all of them. Greedy fucks. Imagine if the season doesn't start on time this year because of the lockout. Millions of fans across this great land will be mighty heartbroken, but not because their favorite player won't be suitin' up, but because there will be no escape from the harsh reality that has become many people's lives due to the aforementioned financial crisis. No job, no house, very bleak future, and now no fucking game to watch. So much for forgetting about my problems for a little while. Heroes? Yeah, no.
