Well I had mentioned to my Co-host about a topic, and wanted to get anyone's response. Wanted to discuss football dads/parents while in youth sports. We could also carry over into other youth sports and programs as well. What do you think? Let us know.

Love it! Sports are so important to kids. Although sometimes parents get them involved for the wrong reasons.

If you talk about school sports, you definitely need to bring up the disturbing amount of injuries that students are getting from being pushed so hard during all-day training. I had a few high school seniors last year who have suffered permanent head damage from concussions. As pressure to do well in sports rises in schools, kids have longer and more intense practices which result in more injuries. Don't get me wrong, I think kids need to be involved in active sports (not that I ever was..). But I think schools need to think more about what's right for their kids and not just their football season record.

I think getting your child involved, and being supportive of them is important. I quit cheering because I never had support from my parents (I think they went to two games in 8 years) but it's a fine line because on the other side of things you have the parents who simply dont know how to not push their kids to be the best. It makes me worry for those kids.

I agree with Maddie...it is important to have support from family and especially the parents (I would have went to ALL your games, Maddie!) However, pushing them too much is obviously a problem. There has to be a happy medium. But, I think this would make a great topic for your podcast )

...sigh...parents who live vicariously through their kids should be slapped...no, really, you know who you are! Even those "dance class moms"

Yo, Spitballers! Wuddup, Dawgs! How-zis for a topic; The Desert Island List Game! Fistpump! Anything you would need to have should you find yourself on a desert island, alone, for the rest of your life. (not sure what event would precipitate this fate for you, but whatev) Name foods, music, books, items, etc. even a particular person. And no cheating by saying a satellite phone with homing beacon to get off said island. Or computer to send e-mail begging for help.

I think you will find, jfitz, that our newest episode that will go up soon has something to do with this idea. I wish I could give you credit, but it was kind of my school work and lack of coming to the forum that we didn't get the idea from you. Thanks again for your input! It's very important to us. I read more post then I respond. I'm working on that.

I think we should do some Spitballing about what we like, need, want, and hope for/from an internet entertainment company. (Ex. Funny or Die, Roster Tooth, Youtube, etc.) Feel free to comment on what you think listeners!

Just thought of a Spitballing topic; The Hallpass. Check it...if your spouse would give you a hallpass for a weekend or whatev, what would you want to do? And grow up Dawgs! It doesn't need to be sex related...it can be for anything that Da Wifey hassles you for...OK, obviously, for argument's sake, let's all stipulate to wild care-free sex with no strings attached, happy now? But, seriously, some things a guy gets hassled about for no reason. Let's share with the group

I have not seen the movie, jfitz. But I think it's a good topic. I going to try and talk to Nathan about it. Want us to really get into it though. I feel like it's a chance to see how stupid we can really be. I mean a hall pass is complete freedom from responsibility, right!?

Britain and China in cahoots? Make sense; they both drink tea, right?
