I like indie music a lot! Most people I know would agree b/c of my very large devotion to Guster. I actually started listening to them b/4 their first hit on radio, which isn't a big deal except maybe to me. I have a new Indie (Indy) band I enjoy a lot named the Olympians. Which if youi have listened to the Spitballing podcast you would know that. So, my thought is to start this thread with the hope that people will share some bands with us spitballers. Link a site, talk about a show you may have saw with an opening band that knocked your socks off. I, as well as my Co-host want to talk local bands at some point as well. Just to let you know Guster is from Cambridge Ma. I live in RI so not too far away. Let me see some feedback people. www.myspace.com/weareolympianswww.guster.com/

Humm.. Indie music... How about Good Old War and Never Shout Never. Good Old War is some modern folk music with the sounds like that of Simon & Garfunkel; simply amazing. Never Shout Never is tween-pop with a twist. The twist is that it's a one man band with talent and originality even thought the songs are simple, short, and rhyme.

I would love to see some way to bring the indie music out in your podcasts. Maybe having shorts about it, or introducing a new band/sound every podcast, like you do with stumble of the week.

I think Maddie has a good idea with introducing a new band each podcast. This would also be a good cross promotion platform. I bet there are lots of way to get bands to submit music.

Cleary The Ryan Montbleau Band is amazing! And I agree with Nathan that it is pretty cool to start to LOVE them before they become big =)
