I want to hear what comedies you may have enjoyed that were not as well received as you think they should have been. Mine personally would be Hot Rod, Tenacious D Pick of Destiny, Accepted, and Balls of Fury. This is a possible topic that will make the show at some point. Let us know what yours may be.

Sadly I haven't seen Pick of Destiny. I've heard good things... I have to say I love Beerfest! It's got some of the best lines!!!

"I Hope They Serve Beer In Hell" had some really great scenes. But sadly the overall performance and storyline were not up to par. I highly recommend "Hottub Time Machine" and "She's Out Of My League" The hair/clothing and soundtrack in HTM were fantastic, and the "shaving" scene in SOOML...hysterical!!

I have to add a movie. Its Baseketball, starred in by the creators of south park. It is fantastic to say the least. Hot tub time machine would not qualify as underrated it got a lot of pub before it even came out, and was well received by critics as a whole. I do want to see She's out of my league though, my wife was nice enough to pick date night last time instead of the a fore mentioned movie. I think she did that b/c she was to lazy to scroll to the letter S after we were trying to choose between the 2. Man she is sad, but I love her, and probably for all the reasons I just made fun of her for.

It's weird saying it because it's still out in theaters, but Scott Pilgrim vs. the World is one of the funniest, most original movies of the year. Unfortunately, no one is seeing it.
Also, Christopher Guest's movies are criminally underrated. I guess Spinal Tap is pretty popular, but Waiting for Guffman, Best in Show, and A Mighty Wind are some of the funniest movies in the past 20 years.
...
Haha. Including Gone with the Wind was meant to be ironic, right? It's like the opposite of both "underrated" and "comedy". However, this is probably the first time in history that it has ever been put in a list with Under Siege.

How about Kung fu Hustle? I love the troupe that provides all those movies Mr.#1 fan. I personally own all of them on disk. I would have to say Eugene Levy makes everyone of those films great.

;DThere are so many great underated comedies around there but Best In Show was extremely good. I am not sure if it would be underrated but Fargo has some of the best lines and is a great movie. And last but not least Waking Ned Devine is hilarious and Irish to boot.

Eugene Levy has got to be one of the funniest actors out there today. So underrated. People will claim to "love all of his genius work" after he dies. (I hope I didn't just start an internet rumor)

Can I just spitball here and say that, unashamedly, "Paul Blart: Mall Cop" was actually really enjoyable...Kevin James has a genuinely funny way about him...just sayin'

"Clue"...yes! I forgot about that one. Great movie! Just spitballing here but, "Oscar" with Sly Stallone was, at the time, a big departure for him, and for me, it worked. Now...the NFL...sigh...a bunch of over paid, jacked-up, spoiled rotten, loud mouths! Thas' right, Dawg! Nathan, you spoke of "confidence"...it's actually entitlement. They think they deserve to win, etc. I bet it all started in little league. A kid does well, Mom and/or Dad are super pleased, the kid gets something special, be it a trip to the ice cream shop, a new toy (or video game now I suppose) maybe he gets to stay up extra late on Friday night, you get the idea. In high school, the star athlete gets the girls, and perhaps maybe his teacher lets him slide a bit with homework or tests scores. By the time he reaches college, he's been conditioned to believe he's special, above the rest, and by golly, he is! Perhaps he gets a car or a house for his underprivilaged Mom, you see where I'm going with this. Now Mr. NFL scout comes along and tells him to skip college, go for the "Show" and he does. School is for chumps anyway. CHA-CHING!!! Next he becomes that loud mouth rookie eveyone hates. And its society's fault. And his Mother. Several years down the road, after setting numerous records, he starts to whine during a press conference about not being appreciated. Ya know, he's worth more money than that! He's still got some years left! He wants his boss to say, again, how special he is. Like 10 mil a year isn't saying it loud enough. I, for the record, can not stand professional athletes. There, I said it.

OK Jfitz, good point except what was wrong in the post. All football players can not even be drafted until 3 years after their class graduated high school. To my knowledge no player has ever gone straight to the pros, b/c they would have to sit out 3 years doing nothing. Now "entitlement" is probably spot on, but that is society. I however would love to go see you tell some pros that they are babies, that would be fun!

I saw "Get Him To The GreeK" last night. Much more enjoyable than I thought it would be. Why was it on my Netflix Q, you wonder? Well, I like Russell Brand. But I did think that perhaps this movie would be the one that gets me over him. Ya know, just a bit too much and all that, but nope, liked it! Some scenes were of course too much for my wife, but she was busy with school work anyway. All in all, entertaining, worth my time!

I haven't talked to anyone who has seen it and was on the fence. I think I'll try and redbox it, if I can find it. Russell Brand is funny and he is banging Katy Perry, so that's makes him extra awesome.
